First, haven't posted in a hot minute, because as you may have noticed, shit is not exactly well. Between the second most recent to most recent update we had a massive uptick in the pandemic, and between the last update and now there's something approaching a world war.
Anyways in an unrelated note I've been watching a bunch of horror movies on the best streaming service: Shudder. God damn I love this service. AMC really knocked it out of the park with this one. They've funded some really unique originals, have excellent exclusives, and their overall curation is excellent. The only problem I have with it is the UI.
I often find the search interface not meeting my desires. I tend to turn on movies while cooking or working on something else which means I'm not always in the mood for watching the screen the entire time. In these cases it's really important to me to have the film with english dialogue. I also enjoy knowing the ratings, genre, and year of films. I took all these desires into account and made my own search UI. It works by gathering data from Shudder and matching it up with other services.
